The Pixel 4 XL arrived about 3 days ahead of schedule which is definitely a plus. I literally stayed home to wait for the UPS guy to get to my house which ended up being about 4:00 that afternoon, yep work from home for a phone That's me, that's my life lol. Nonetheless on the phone arrived the first thing I noticed was they had a little bit more weight on it than my wife's Galaxy note 10. It's about 1 oz heavier than the note 10 almost feels like the iPhone XR in my opinion. The Google animations as it comes on is still one of the best in the industry makes you feel like you're getting ready for a show first class presentation there. I chose the clearly white color over the old so orange mainly because the old so orange from what other bloggers and first-hand-reviewers were saying at the event back on the 14th or 15th we're saying that although it's also orange it's more of a peach color. So I took the safe bed and went with the white. Coming from the Pixel 2 everything is an upgrade, from the 90 MHz display to the upgraded Google Assistant at all feels a lot smoother. When Android 10 was updated to my pixel 2 it was very buggy and what I mean was my phone randomly crashed and anytime my battery got below 25% it would reset at random times until I got it back onto a charger and above 25%. Clearly Android 10 was made for the Pixel 4. Something else that I was looking forward to trying out was the recorder app that Google debuted and it's latest reincarnation at the Google event. I love the fact that not only in the recorder app but for those journalists out there are those looking to start blogging are even if you are a student you can transcribe words from any video that you're watching or if you're listening to election class from your teacher and want to review their statements at a later time. It's kind of awesome.
Now I've heard a lot of reviewers and tech guys that have made a lot of money off of this segment of the business tech reviews that is talking about their disappointment from the large forehead at the top of the phone to the exclusion of wide-angle camera from this device. To me that all sounds a little bit kicky from the review of standpoint The only true complaint that I think folks will have regarding this phone is the price tag which is about $100 more van the iPhone 11 with less storage at 64 gigs compared to 128 and for the Pixel 4 a significantly smaller battery than the competition within the same area. Other than that this is everything you expect in a flagship phone. I wasn't too worried about the price tag because most carriers are offering trade-in discounts off of the phone for example I went with The Pixel 4 XL for $8.99. through Verizon they're offering $450 off with trade in. Seems like that's the way to go with carriers these days is trading your old device and essentially get half off The monthly installment payment for the new device. Phone carriers like to know that they have long-term viability meaning contracts without contracts. gone or the days you sign a two-year price plan contract and are on the hook for early termination fees of 250 or $500 if you break the contract Now there are installment plans for these $1,000 devices. Yes they're overpriced and many cases however it gives the phone carrier and opportunity to offer a contract without a contract you give up some of the flexibility to be able to bounce between carriers and the carrier gives up nothing to be honest with you because they're still making money off of you on the price plan. But it's the best that we have at this time. So I'm conclusion the pixel 4 from the design to the software is my phone or twice over the competition right now there are others out there with more tech inside as well as better video and similar cameras but if you're true Android follower you know that the next two or three updates Google will crush it Hope this helps And keep an eye out for those Black Friday deals because they're probably going to be even more enticing
